It has now been confirmed the second (and presumably final) trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story will be released tomorrow. Lucasfilm’s second Star Wars anthology has had a very different marketing campaign compared to the previous three films of the studio’s Disney era. Whereas the likes of The Force Awakens, Rogue One, and Last Jedi essentially had year-long campaigns with various checkpoints (teaser, behind-the-scenes reel, trailer), the ball on Solo only got rolling a couple of months ago. The first bits of footage was released during the Super Bowl, giving viewers a tiny taste of Alden Ehrenreich’s Han.
With the film just over a month away, it was widely expected a new look at Solo would be released at some point this month, signaling the arrival of a big promotional push. As it turns out, that’s exactly what’s happening and it won’t be much longer until the next preview is unveiled for all to see.
The surprise announcement comes courtesy the official Star Wars Twitter account, posting a short teaser consisting of the Millennium Falcon engines firing up as it flies through danger.
