Avengers: Infinity War has gotten an IMAX poster that includes hidden IMAX logos for fans to find. With only about three weeks left until it hits theaters, marketing for the most-anticipated blockbuster of 2018 is heating up. The 19th installment in the MCU and Marvel Studios’ 10 year anniversary celebratory offering, the film pits the many superheroes of the MCU against their greatest adversary yet, Thanos. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo with the story written by Captain America trilogy screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, Infinity War is the beginning of the culmination of everything that has transpired in the MCU thus far.
As the cast and crew of Infinity War begin their global, multi-city press tour, the Russos are attempting to combat spoilers by asking those lucky enough to attend early screenings to not ruin the film for others by leaking unwarranted story details online. Noble as that endeavor may be, fans are already sharing spoiler-y details online, after a portion of the film was screened in Brazil as part of the Infinity War press tour. Thankfully, Marvel Studios won’t be screening the movie in its entirety until its Los Angeles premiere on April 23 – just a few days before it hits theaters around the globe.

Empire Online has now unveiled Infinity War‘s IMAX poster, which features most of the key players in the forthcoming Marvel epic. Although most blockbusters films receive a one-sheet promoting them in the IMAX format nowadays, the Infinity War IMAX poster is unique is a certain respect. Infinity War is the first tentpole fully shot using IMAX cameras and to commemorate that, its IMAX poster includes four hidden IMAX logos for fans to find. Check it out below:
The “interactive” IMAX poster arrives on the heels of several Infinity War character posters that were released yesterday, and as expected Hawkeye is still missing from all of this promotional material. Despite his original Avengers status, the team’s resident marksman has been noticeably absent throughout the marketing for Infinity War so far – something that has prompted fans to create their own Infinity War posters and artwork that places Clint Barton front and center. As such, it will be interesting to see how fan artists incorporate the character into the IMAX poster, given its layout and design.
In the meantime, for fans who want to go into their Avengers: Infinity War screening knowing as little as possible, keeping off online forums and social media is highly recommended. It’s expected that as the film’s release inches near, Disney and Marvel Studios will ramp up the marketing for the movie with the release of more TV spots, and of course, comments from the cast themselves as they promote the film. Focusing on the newly-released IMAX poster by looking for its hidden Easter Eggs may be a great way to spend your time while waiting for April 27 to finally arrive.
