A fan-made Captain Marvel poster adds Nick Fury and Agent Coulson to the mix and homages Pulp Fiction in the process. With Captain Marvel now filming, information on the movie has been pouring in. Though it was already a thrill to learn Fury would be back for the ’90s-set outing in the MCU, fans were over the moon when it was announced Agent Phil Coulson will be in Captain Marvel. Joining him will be Guardians of the Galaxy villains Ronan and Korath, meaning next year’s film will feature quite an interesting mix of familiar faces.
Though MCU die-hards have long been hoping to see the resurrected Coulson reveal himself to the Avengers, Marvel has yet to put Clark Gregg in another film following his character’s first death in The Avengers. Captain Marvel will change that, though the MCU is still ignoring Coulson in its present-day. So while it’s exciting to know Gregg and Samuel L. Jackson will re-team on the big screen, any meaningful connection between Marvel movies and TV is still a pipe dream. Of course, sometimes the fantasies of fans are better than the real thing.

BossLogic decided to go a little absurd with his latest piece of fan art, which features Coulson and Fury together on a Captain Marvel poster of his own design. Not only did he combine Jackson’s Fury with Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction, he even gave Coulson the long locks of John Travolta’s Vincent Vega.

This poster is a fun take on both Jackson’s most iconic role from the ’90s and the idea of how Coulson will look in his early days at S.H.I.E.L.D. Perhaps another fan can make a Captain Marvel trailer that includes actual footage from Pulp Fiction next.
In addition to going back in time to the ’90s, Captain Marvel will feature several new characters alongside the familiar faces of Nick Fury and Phil Coulson. Among the MCU newcomers in the film are Jude Law’s Mar-Vell, Ben Mendelsohn and Lashana Lynch in unknown roles, and Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva. The movie itself will focus on exploring the origins of its eponymous superhero and the role that she played in the MCU’s version of the Kree-Skrull War.
Gregg is already filming Captain Marvel, so hopefully some set photos of him in the movie will emerge soon and reveal what ’90s era Coulson looks like, in the process. Here is to hoping that his actual hairdo in Captain Marvel looks as great as his Vincent Vega get-up.
