Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War early reactions praise the film’s first act (roughly the first 30 minutes) that recently screened. Fans are eager to see the upcoming third Avengers movie, which acts as the beginning of the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s overarching storyline thus far. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Infinity War is one of the most anticipated movies of 2018. Considering fans have turned Marvel Studios’ superhero universe into a multi-billion dollar franchise, it’s easy to see why.
Thankfully, fans got some good news last month when Marvel moved the Infinity War release date up by one week. Now moviegoers will get to see Avengers 3 one week earlier than previously thought. However, the movie will first screen in its entirety at the global premiere on April 23, and even before that, Marvel is holding early screenings of the first act. Now, the first reactions from these early screenings are making their way online – and they’ve got plenty of praise for Marvel Studios’ latest.

Digital Spy and JOE.ie were in attendance for the Avengers: Infinity War screening held this week, taking to Twitter afterward to praise the film’s “ambitious” first act. Further, the tweets make mention of the villains, the difference in tone between scenes featuring previously unconnected characters, and the movie’s quotability. Take a look below:
We’ve just seen 30 mins of #AvengersInfinityWar. Can’t say too much but it’s way ambitious, it’ll switch tones between different groups (the Guardians sequence had a very different, look, feel and soundtrack to the New York scenes) and it’s going to be funny. Avengers: Infinity War composer Alan Silvestri teased the tonal changes in the film earlier this week, hinting at what Digital Spy elaborates on in their reaction. It’s certainly interesting to know that the Russos’ adapted the styles of their fellow Marvel filmmakers to bring all the characters together. Of course, it remains to be seen if the shifts in tone between scenes will be smooth or choppy. But, early praise for the first act is a good indicator the filmmakers and everyone involved in bringing the movie to life worked together to make it cohesive.
As for when exactly fans will get more detailed reactions to Avengers: Infinity War, the embargo for social media reactions lifts the night of the premiere, while reviews will arrive the next day. So, fans won’t get an idea of what to expect from the full movie until the week of its release. Of course, many fans are sure to be thankful since that prevents spoilers from leaking before the general public has seen Infinity War – and, in fact, that’s likely why Marvel set the embargo times this way.
Still, those eager to learn as much as they can about Avengers: Infinity War before its release will have to wait a little longer. While these early reactions may be light on concrete details – no doubt to avoid spoiling anything and incurring the wrath of Marvel – the positivity should certainly hype up fans for the upcoming blockbuster. At least everyone excited for Avengers: Infinity War can take heart in the fact that the film’s release date is only three weeks away.
