Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger gets a June premiere date on Freeform along with an extended sneak peek scene teasing the teen superhero TV series. Ever since Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. debuted on ABC in 2013, Marvel Studios has been building and expanding the television side of its Marvel Cinematic Universe. In addition to their New York City-based Defenders corner of the MCU on Netflix, Marvel launched the younger skewing show, Marvel’s Runaways, on Hulu late last year. However, Marvel TV has another teen-focused program set to debut on Freeform this year: Cloak & Dagger.
The show has been in the works since Freeform ordered Cloak & Dagger to series in Spring 2016, and was rumored to begin filming around the same time as Runaways. However, while Runaways has already wrapped up its first season – though it was only 10 episodes – little had been heard about Cloak & Dagger since filming wrapped in late 2017. Now, a new sneak peek for Cloak & Dagger offers an extended look at the show’s titular heroes and confirms the series’ premiere date.
